    Virginia Stagni
    Head of Business Development & FT Talent Director

    Virginia works between London and New York as a Business Development Manager in the Commercial Department of the Financial Times.

    Her role sees her investigate new business ideas and revenue growth opportunities, ensuring that the Financial Times remains one of the most innovative and disruptive players in the wider news landscape.

    Prior to joining the FT, Virginia was a start-up founder and entrepreneur, also working as a freelance reporter for La Stampa – one of the oldest newspapers in Italy. She is the CEO and founder of Logos, a mobile phone blockchain start-up, and previously founded a digital magazine, Revolart, as well as a cultural heritage foundation, Bolognadasballo.

    In 2016 she was named Best Italian Entrepreneur Under 25 and in 2019 was one of Digiday’s inaugural Future Leaders.

    Virginia holds an MSc in Media and Communications from the London School of Economics and a BSc in Economics and Management for Art, Culture and Communications from Bocconi University. In her spare time she enjoys ‘extreme’ travel.

    Gauthier Van Malderen is founder and CEO of Perlego. Founded in 2016, Perlego’s aim is to make educational content, specifically academic textbooks, more affordable by offering them under a subscription model. To date, the digital library platform, used by university students around the world, works with over 3200 publishers and currently provides more than 700,000 titles. Gauthier has a BSc from Bocconi University and a Masters from Cambridge.

    Paola Marinone is the Co-Founder and CEO of BuzzMyVideos, a martech company that drives hyper-growth & new revenue from and on YouTube.

    Paola is a Bocconi alumna and an ex Google/YouTube manager turned tech entrepreneur. She is currently based in London but has been developing her international career all over the globe, counting 8 countries so far. Having worked for Google in its early days, and then founding BuzzMyVideos, she has lived first hand the transformation of entire industries and built a cutting edge knowledge on anything related to online video.

    Alessandro Monterosso
    Co-Founder & CEO, PatchAi

    With strong “T shaped” skills, Alessandro Monterosso is the ideator of PatchAi®, a digital medical platform for conversational and empathetic patient data collection that entered the market at the end of 2019.

    Alessandro started his career as a Clinical Research Nurse at the University of Padua, he specialized in clinical research at Trieste University and later he completed the Master in International Healthcare, Economics and Policy from SDA Bocconi School of Management.

    With PatchAI®, the first virtual assistant for patients enrolled in clinical research, his aim is to improve people’s quality of life and support pharmaceutical companies in offering safer, affordable and personalized drugs.

    Alessandro conceives innovation in the Pharma & MDs Industries as an attitude, a commitment, a new state of mind – not only as an intersection between science, technology and business processes.

    In 2020 Alessandro has been listed among Forbes 30 Under 30 Italy, in the Healthcare category and in 2021 he has been listed among Forbes Top 100 Managers in Italy.

    Alessandro is a violin and piano player. He also contributed and curated the nursing leading book for Nursing procedures published by Zanichelli.

    Founder & CEO, Quick Algorithm Analytics

    Dr Jacopo Piana is the founder and CEO of Quick Algorithm Analytics and Adjunct Professor in Quantitative Methods at the University of Geneva. Besides his entrepreneurial activity, Jacopo has moderated and presented at international academic and business conferences, receiving honours and scholarship awards from Cass Business School for his research activity. Jacopo earned his PhD from the Cass Business School, London, a diploma in Artificial Intelligence from MIT, an M.A. in Finance and Commodity trading from the University of Geneva, an M.Sc. and a B.Sc. in Economics from Bocconi University in Milan. He has also been a visiting scholar at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
